Firstly, we would like to say a BIG thank you to all of the helpers who have assisted in someway this term - whether it was listening to the children read, making play doh, helping out on the excursion or at the Carnival. We really appreciate your time and effort. We would also like to acknowledge your ongoing support of your own child's learning. Listening to them read their take home books, helping them complete any homework tasks and guiding them with their Show and Share makes such a big difference. We are excited by each students' development this term and their progress is due to the classroom and home partnership.
Each child has brought home 6 books to read over the holidays. Each book can be read multiple times as this will assist in consolidating their fluency and expression. If the children are interested they are welcome to work on IXL (one of the maths apps) over the break as well. Of course lots of discussion about different forms of transport (past, present and future), what fuel each one uses and what the purpose of the vehicle is will help to build their knowledge for our 'Going Places' Unit of Inquiry.
Thank you to everyone who has already returned their Parent Authority Form. This is due back on the first day of Term 2. Student Progress Meetings are conducted in the second week of term and you will need to request a time preference for these as soon as possible. The office will be open during the holidays with the exception of Good Friday and Easter Monday.
We wish you all a safe and happy holiday and we look forward to hearing all about your adventures.
